The MLSE Team Up Foundation is the charitable arm of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), combining the philanthropic efforts of all four MLSE teams - the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC and Toronto Marlies. Launched in December 2009 and building on the past successes of the Raptors Foundation for Kids and the Leafs Fund for Kids, the MLSE Team Up Foundation is committed to making an even bigger difference for youth across Ontario.
The MLSE Team Up Foundation strives to improve the lives of youth by building facilities, giving to sustainable programs and empowering youth through sports and recreation.
Changing lives through the spirit and the power of sports.
With a four team, three sport approach, the Team Up Foundation is committed to investing in recreational refurbishments and funding sustainable programs that will provide children and youth, of all abilities, access to sport and recreational opportunities.
The Team Up Foundation's community efforts support legacy investment and Ontario-based charities with youth-focused recreational programs. During the 2010-2011 season, the Foundation's legacy program refurbished seven facilities, including hockey rinks, basketball courts and soccer pitches. Since launching the legacy program, MLSE and the Team Up Foundation have refurbished 29 facilities. As the Foundation grows, it will seek even greater collaboration with local community and charitable partners and continue to invest in the revitalization of communities through sports and recreation.
