How we Teamed Up
Family Service Toronto partnered with the community organization Guidance of Canadian Somali Youth to offer a sports program for marginalized children/youth in the Somali community. Thanks to funding from the Team Up Foundation, more than 125 young people were able to take advantage of both hockey and basketball activities over the fall and winter. Our support of the program included equipment, coaching, training and administration. The youth participants were 11-18 years and were an even split between males and females.
